Great posts, this is why we try to get you all to communicate and start talking to one another. To help each other in your own classrooms. Even though this is an online class, we at Full Sail, physically go to Full Sail and sit by each other and talk. This way we learn about what each other is doing in their class. Just recently have they let us have more time working at home. But we also twitter and ichat one another all the time.

Thomas,
Great information. I am coordinator of distance education at my college and I have also found it difficult to get the instructors to determine when their content is a rich learning resource. I see that many instructors strive to provide a good distance learning experience while others simiply do enough to get by. I have offered many "Intra-school" workshops but getting the teachers interested and in attendance is a big issue. I am always looking for ways to motivate and information to share. Thank you for this resource.

I think one of the keys is to offer more "just-in-time" solutions- to have learning available in an accessible form right when teachers want it, not in advance, at a meeting before they have felt the need for it. This could be in the form of movies on a website, a message board, or even a (shudder) desk reference.
